How Genhup Earns Revenue

  • Affiliate commissions: Genhup participates in affiliate programs including Amazon Associates, Awin, and direct partnerships with brands in the home energy and smart-home space. When you click certain links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
  • Display advertising: We display ads through Google AdSense and, where applicable, other ad networks. Ad revenue helps fund our research and content production.
  • No pay-for-ranking: Affiliate relationships and advertising never determine which products we recommend or how we rank them. If a product underperforms in our research, we say so — regardless of its commission rate.
  • Earnings are not guaranteed or predictable: Any figures related to potential savings, payback periods, or return on investment mentioned in our articles are estimates only, based on publicly available data and general assumptions; actual results vary by household, region, and usage.

How We Use AI in Our Content Process

  • Genhup uses AI-assisted tools during parts of our research and drafting workflow — for tasks such as summarizing public specifications, organizing comparison data, and speeding up early drafts.
  • Every article is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human before publication. AI tools do not publish content autonomously, and final editorial judgment always rests with our writers and editors.
  • We do not use AI to fabricate product reviews, test results, or first-hand experiences we have not actually conducted.
  • Where AI has materially assisted in generating a specific piece of content (e.g., a data summary table), this is used only as a starting point, and all factual claims are independently verified against primary sources before publishing.

Why We Disclose This

We disclose our AI usage and monetization methods proactively, in line with UK and EU consumer protection principles and general transparency best practice. We believe readers deserve to know both how we make money and how our content is actually produced.
